She'll never be blonde for long.

If i remember correctly, I'm pretty sure this happened last year. She starts off dark, wants to go blonde hates it, so she tries even lighter. Just watch next week she'll ask me to dye it dark again. I think it looks ok on her but dark is way way better. I wasn't real thrilled with the color either.

Mullett Man

So Jordan has had this Mullet fantasy for quite some time so as soon as his hair grew enough to justify it, i gave him a baby Mullet i figure, we're in hickville for the summer why not. Unfortunately i didn't get a picture of freshly done but you get the idea.

Round two!

Slacker me.

So this one i totally forgot to take after pictures of but i just gave her a hair cut. She loved it. I loved it. I could probably track her down but by now she probably needs another one.

Kids cut!

So.. i kinda feel like i need more men's hair cut skills... first, I'm kinda slow and second, i feel like they all come out the same length... I'll work on that. This one i totally used clippers but other guy's cuts i feel like i kinda struggle. So more guidance then more practice.

So this is from may.

I skipped this one when i started my blogging but Spence continues to tell all that this was the best cut he has ever received... The first time he told me that he was wasted. But then he reaffirmed it many many times.

just another hair cut.

Finally.

I finally feel really great about cutting my mother in law's hair. Its thick, and curly and somewhat nappy but i've got it under control now!

Hair Cut!

Looks pretty young for and old lady

Mop Head

Just a regular ole retouch. next time we're gonna add some brown back in. I thinks its way to blonde for her right now. Washes her out.

Just RIGHT!

Alexis has been quite upset about her hair because she went to walmart of all placed to get it done, paid $80 for a cut and color was there for 4 hours and left with her hair looking, "no different" they girl that weaved her hair did a super fine weave with 1'' sections, and i agree, it really looked like she hadn't gotten her hair done in 8 months. Super sad. Anyways i did slice sections on a really attractive diagonal and i think it turned out great. my sections were perfect, it blended well and she loved it.

TWERP!

well, this is my cousin in law Tanner, one late night after work he asked me to cut his hair and he had this long shag thing goin on. So i said, its really late how about i just trim it up for now? He says ok. So i'm just about done trimming the perimeter and he says, so do you think we could just do it short like Gunners? ...... Fine so i busted out the clippers on this one. Then he wouldn't let me take a picture.

Doing it right!

The first time i did Kylie's hair, i just did a basic highlight and added some low light's as well. When i was done, it looked fine but i wasn't satisfied because i could still see a big grow out line because her natural hair is pretty dark. This time i used a 731 mixed with a 83 for her low lights and covered the rest of it with lightener then toned it all with a 83 so that it would all mesh a little better. I think it is beautiful! Next time i want to do a full instead of a partial so we can get her base as well.

Rubilane

This is Sarah, she has had the same exact hair color her whole life, but today we changed all that. She said she wanted a deep brown mahogany color. I'll be honest, i was very surprised to see how red it really went. I did a Natural base then added what i thought was just a little red but oh no... it went very red. Thankfully she LOVES it. I do too, i think it looks great on her. So for next time, now i know a little red goes a long ways.

Granny cut

This is probably the fastest cut i've ever done, maybe cause she doesn't have much hair but she just asked me to do it real tight on the sides and long enough to simply brush back on top. Wouldn't even let me style it.
SWEET. I don't think that styling is one of my strengths. Maybe cause i'm pretty plain myself.

Its a bad idea.

                    Meet Ashely!

Ashley had this great idea to do a black and white window. And my reply was, "no, that's so trashy." Then i find out that she has had that before and loves it! So after discussing other hair options, she is still set on it. So I retouched her roots (totally should have just bumped her base) then gave her the black she wanted. When I saw how far up her previous window was, i was a little shocked but she said to just do the same thing. Next time there is no way i will do it that far up.

Next time the furthest i will agree to go up is the yellow line.

Once again, her cut was fantastic. I think she is cute enough to get away with this but i just don't
really love the style.

Color lessons.

This is Hailey, when we did our consultation, she expalined to me that she didn't love her current color because there wasn't much variation and she didn't love the tone either. We decided to  do some low lights and highlights, and see where it went from there. Here's where  things didn't go as planned. I think that my dark sections were too small so when we pulled them out it didn't look like there was much variation in her color because they blended so well. I think what i need to do is get a mannequin , split the hair into a bunch of sections and weave each section differently with the same color so i have a better idea of what will happen when i do what i do.
Hailey was happy with her hair but you can see for yourself what i mean.

I think the hair cut turned out great!
